Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- A Scrive account. Sign in at scrive.com to check yours works.
- An AI tool that supports remote MCP servers.
- For Copilot Studio, Slackbot, Gemini Enterprise, Cursor and Devin Desktop, a client ID and secret from Scrive support. See When you need a client ID and secret.
- In company workspaces an admin may need to act first: add the connector in Claude Team or Enterprise, enable developer mode in ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu, add the server in Gemini Enterprise, allow Power Platform connections in Copilot Studio, or install the Slack app. Each guide says so where it applies.
Choose your AI tool
Section titled “Choose your AI tool” Claude Claude on the web, desktop and mobile, Cowork and Claude Code all connect directly.
ChatGPT ChatGPT in developer mode, and Codex from the terminal or IDE.
Gemini The Gemini app as a custom app, Gemini CLI and Code Assist directly, Gemini Enterprise through your admin.
Copilot Studio Add the server as an MCP tool on an agent, with a client ID and secret from Scrive.
Slackbot Declare the server in a Slack app with a client ID and secret from Scrive, then members connect it to Slackbot.
